On May 17.th we held a public ceremony her in Esslingen, Switzerland.
The weather was cloudy and we were prepared for a thunderstorm. But the wind showed mercy and it did not start to rain until after the ceremony.

People from many parts of Switzerland participated in addition to one woman from Denmark and one woman from Norway. In addition to those who participated in the dance and the ceremony, there were also a audience consisting of many people, among them three mothers with many children.

The ceremony consisted of several parts with dance, poems, prayer and joik (sami chanting)
The people participating in the ceremony all felt the great energy from The World Drum. They told about a great and healing energy that came from The World Drum as soon as I started to beat. For my own part I can tell that I felt this strong energy even when I just hold The Drum and during the ceremony.

When I handed The World Drum to another participant I started dancing and felt that I danced the whole globe around, just as The World Drum have done.

When the ceremony was over we sat down around the fire. Some people cried, some people gently beat their own drums. As people were leaving the ceremony a woman came forward and started to beat The World Drum as she sung. She kept on singing until she united with Mother Earth, and it was a great healing.

The World Drum was given a little “earth” made in the sami-colours in thanks. And a Swiss artist, Urs Huber Uri, who many years ago was in close contact with the Hopi-chief White Bear, drawed and wrote something on the altercloth who follows The World Drum.

On Wednesday May 21.th we had a drum and powerdance evening with The World Drum, and the room was filled with energy and it felt almost like the entire world joined us.

We appreciate that The World Drum visited us here in Switzerland, and we give our thanks for a good and helpful project.
