Antara Center, Nashville Tennessee,
Saturday, July 7, 2007

Antara Center was honored to be one of the U.S. hosts for the World Drum.
We received it in Nashville, TN on Thursday, July 5 from the Society of Shamanic Practitioners Annual Conference in the Catskill Mountains in New York state. Dr. Gregory L. Miller,
long-time friend and Medical Advisor to Antara Center,
joined us on Friday evening as we prepared for our ceremony the next day.

The Nashville World Drum Ceremony was held on Saturday, July 7, 12 noon, 2007, at Centennial Park,
Thirty-six people attended the ceremony.
The weather was very typical for Nashville at this time of year--HOT!
Spirits soared along with the temperature as this sacred drum called to each of us.
We created a circle and all who attended were smudged with sage. Dr. Miller was the last to enter carrying the drum.
He called in the directions (South American way) and spoke of how The World Drum Project came to be, and that we are called to look within to create changes within each of us for the planet and all people to heal.
He then presented the World Drum to the Wise Council of Antara Center, and we carried it around the circle of those gathered and placed it on the Circle of Friends in the center of our altar.

Janice Mickle, Founder and CEO of Antara Center, then called in the directions
(North American tradition with angelic realm added, too.)
She then drummed with the World Drum as all journeyed/meditated to ask the drum what each could do to bring healing for themselves and the planet.
The drum was then passed to each person in the circle to share what they had received.

We then began drumming, rattling, singing, as each person in the circle was moved to interact with the drum which included:
flute playing by the children, a song, drumming, and honoring the drum and the circle and all people and spirits of the planet with honor and love.

We closed the circle by releasing the directions but sending our love and intentions for healing and peace with the drum as we all touched our hands and held it in the center of the circle.
At the close of this ceremony, we took the World Drum to Bicentennial Mall and played it at the Court of Three Stars which carries sounds throughout the Universe, and we also played it at the World globe honoring veterans of wars since World War II,
and asked for healing of all wars and that the perceived need for war to end.
The World Drum then rested at Antara Center as a Crop Circle class was held that evening.
Several people were drawn to hold and pray with the drum.

Others that could not make the ceremony came and connected with, drummed and prayed on Saturday evening, Sunday and Sunday evening,
and even on Monday morning in transit to shipping it out of the city to our friends at True North, in Falmouth, Maine!
Also on Sunday, July 8, the World Drum sat in the Medicine Wheel of Antara Center and was played there by four more people and the drum was placed with the very large center stone crystal named Harmony so that the Drum and Harmony could communicate to each other.
Harmony (the crystal) was gifted to Antara Center in it's beginning year and we learned that it's purpose is to bring back energies to the planet that are needed now.
We placed among our gifts inside the drum a photo of the Dalai Lama (honoring the Eastern traditions) and a pendant of Mother Mary sending healing energy into the planet (honoring Western traditions) and other gifts that had meaning for Antara to include with the World Drum on it's journey.
It was not planned by us, but thanks to Spirit all directions and peoples--South, North, East and West traditions, were honored in our time with the World Drum.
Thank you to those who participated in the WORLD DRUM CEREMONY on Saturday, July 7th and at the other areas mentioned above.

It was a moving and powerful experience for all!
Many thanks and blessings to our sisters and brothers of the WORLD DRUM PROJECT and Dr. Greg Miller, for allowing us to host this sacred treasure here in Nashville!
We are honored to have participated in this project and send our love and blessings for it's continued journey of healing across the planet.
We joyfully share our photos of this sacred time spent in ceremony with the World Drum on Saturday,
July 7, 2007, 12 noon at Centennial Park in Nashville, TN, USA.

With Love and Light,

Janice MIckle, Founder/CEO
Antara Center, Inc.
